Details:

Starry Nights continues at the American Museum of Natural History's Rose Center for Earth and Space with sizzling live jazz in one of the most spectacular settings in New York. Visitors to Starry Nights, which is presented the first Friday of every month, can also enjoy mouthwatering tapas and wine and other beverages.

One of the most sought-after drummers on the jazz circuit, Winard Harper began playing with Dexter Gordon at the age of 20. After spending four years honing his showmanship with Betty Carter's band, Harper formed his own group, The Harper Brothers Quintet, with his brother Philip on trumpet. Harper is known for his exceptional abilities with the cymbals and his work with African rhythms. "As tasteful a drummer as one could ask for." — JazzTimes.
